Government controls everyone
Causes people to go against the regime

Cultural Challenges
Since rice and other native food is not readily available
Culture is lost because rice is a central part
So the government gets aid from other countries.
But the government takes 30% of it for themselves
Following religion is considered a crime
So religions are practiced secretly

Citizens are sent to labor camps to pay for their "sins"
Economic Challenges
Many are unemployed
Poor economy starts to develop
Poverty becomes a problem in much of the population
Many starve due to not having food
People begin to steal food in order to survive
Theft is punished with being sent to prison camps
Farmers get their food taken away by the government
Farmers thus grow poor and do not grow enough food

Farmers are then granted permission to keep some of the food they grow
