Overall, I'm linking Life of Pi to "believe in god" and linking the Great Gatsby to "believe in reality（real things, like money）"， on the other hand, adding a paragraph about Life of Pi and materialism(He survived by the supplies on the lifeboat), a paragraph to talk about The Great Gatsby and Spiritual(Gatsby's insist on love and willing to sacrifice money) are possible. Spirits and matters can be mixed, depends on what you believe in.
