Setting
The time or place in which a story occurs

Direct Characterization
Author says exact character trait

A tool an author uses to reveal character traits.
Indirect Characterization
The narrator reveals a character's personality by describing a character's appearance, feelings, behavior, ans thoughts, as well as his or her interactions with other characters.
