Maximus should have takes lead in Roman goverment. Because he was feeling Commodus is unfit to rule. After when Commodus found out about Marcus reason. Commodus killed his father Marcus and he want execute Maximus. But Maximus killed his captors and rides for his farm. He arrives too late his family was killed a farm was desteroyed. Because in fight with captors get injures he felt into the trance. He was found by slavers who take him to Zucchabar. He met Juba, He was a slaver. Juba treated Maximus ijures. They was sold to gladiator trainer named Proximo. Maximus take a new nickname Spanish. Maximus and Juba show up as a good gladiators. In the long run they was sent to Rome to fighting into the Colosseum. Maximus was a first gladiator who won over the legionaries. This act was a surprised. Commodus went into the arena to offer his personal congratulations. Commodus get know Maximus a he get a scare. After this Lucilla vistit Maximus. Maximus say her his story and he wants to revenge Commodus. Lucilla say him he defeat Commodus when he obtain people favor. Threupon Commodus decide encounter with Maximus in the Colosseum. Maximus killed Commodus but before Commodus cut Maximus with the secret knife. Maximus's last words are to ask for political reforms, for his gladiator allies to be freed, and for Senator Gracchus to be reinstated. Themes
Revenge: Maximus' whole life revolves around revenge. Commodus's directly responsible for the brutal death of his wife and son, and Maximus vows to continue fighting in the arena until he can find a way to kill Commodus. And Commodus also revage because his father doesn't make him emperor.
