RCR- Rotator Cuff Repair defined by the depth of the tear, either partial thickness or full thickness.
PartialThickness Tear-extends inferiorly or superiorly through only a portion of the tendon from either the acromial or humeral surface of the tendon
Full Thickness Tear- complete tear which extends the entire depth of the tendon
A Coggle Diagram about Mod Protection Phase- patients with small or medium tear phase begins 4-6 weeks post-op and extends an additional 6 weeks. Strengthening exercises typically begin around 8 weeks post-op. This phase may begin as late as 12 weeks for a patient with large or massive tear., Max Protection Phase- extends for 3-4 weeks post-op for a medium tear. 6-8 weeks for large or massive tear., Min Protection Phase- this phase begins no earlier than 12-16 weeks post-op for patients with large repairs or 16 weeks or later for a tenuous repair. This phase may continue until 6 months or more depending on the patients expected functional ability and Precautions will very depending on surgeon
