A Coggle Diagram about WHERE THEY LIVE
(Planet Earth is a biosphere. In it, there are many populations, communities, and biomes for all species. A biome is a large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat (desert, grasslands) A population is a group of the same species living together. A community is a group of a variety of species living together.
(In a ecological pyramid there are different levels of species. It starts of with the producers, then tertiary consumers, and secondary consumers. If there is a toxin or poison released, it would accumulate the most in the producers because there are more producers.
), ROLE OF CLIMATE
(the green house effect causes the Earth to heat up. The atmosphere traps heat from the sun and heats up the earth. Since the Earth is tilted, the sun's heat hits us at different angles. This causes ocean and wind currents.
), TYPES OF SPECIES
(There are many kinds or biotic, or living, features in our biosphere. There are also abiotic features, which are non-living. Biotic features include, producers and consumers. A producer is also known as an autotroph, which is a biotic feature that can produce it's own food. A consumer is also known as a heterotroph, which hunts for other food.
), WHAT MAKES DNA UP
(DNA is made up of a sugar and phosphate backbone, and a nitrogen base. The Nitrogen bases are Adenine, Thynine, Guanine, and Cytosine. Various combinations of these become our genes.
), DNA STRUCTURE
(The structure of DNA is a double helix. This was discovered by James Watson and Francis Crick when they were experimenting with X-Ray photographs.
