Dictionary Definition: A nonrenewable resource is a resource of economic value that cannot be readily replaced by natural means on a level equal to its consumption. Most fossil fuels, such as oil, natural gas and coal are considered nonrenewable resources in that their use is not sustainable because their formation takes billions of years.

Personal Definition: A resource that can't be renewed in a relatively short amount of time

Dictionary Definition: A renewable resource is a resource which can be used repeatedly because it is replaced naturally. Examples are: oxygen, fresh water, solar energy, timber, and biomass. Renewable resources may include goods or commodities such as wood, paper and leather, because their sources are renewable.

Personal Definition: A resource that the Earth or humans can replace in a relatively short amount of time

Dictionary Definition: In the social sciences, unintended consequences (sometimes unanticipated consequences or unforeseen consequences) are outcomes that are not the ones foreseen and intended by a purposeful action.

Dictionary Definition: Human environment interaction refers to the ways people change their environment and how the environment changes them. Human environment interaction is one of the five themes of geography created by the National Council for Geographic Education and the Association of American Geographers in 1984.

Personal Definition: When Humans change or influence the Environment, or when the Environment changes or influences Humans

Dictionary Definition:

Personal Definition: To change yourself to fit in with conditions of a different place or area

Dictionary Definition: make partial or minor changes to (something), typically so as to improve it or to make it less extreme.

Intentional Consequences: A outcome of something that happened that was expected or wanted. For example, if you wanted to get a job, your intentional consequence (usually) would be to have the manager like you. Another example was if you were really mad at someone and you punched them, you would want them to get hurt or feel pain

Unintentional Consequence: A outcome of something that happened that was not wanted or expected. For example, if you got mad at someone and punched them, you might hurt yourself or break a knuckle, which you would not want to happen. Another example is if you wanted to play pokemon go and you got hit by a bus or walked off a cliff, you would realize that is NOT what you wanted to happen

Adapt: To change oneself to fit into a situation. For example, If you went to a different culture and you spoke english, you might have to change your language to the native language there.

Modify: To change things around oneself to fit what one wants or needs. For example, if you were at someones house (don't do this) and they were having something you didn't like, you would change what they liked based off what you like.
