At the times of Galileo, it was believed that the Earth was at the center of the universe and that the Sun rotated around it.,
SHAPE OF THE EARTH:
The shape was believed to be flat. ,
WHAT DID GALILEO KNOW ABOUT STARS?
Galileo wanted to demonstrate the number of stars that existed by representing them with a drawing. He decided to represent two entire constellations: Orion and the Pleiades
but he observed that the Orion one was too big so he only sketched a part of it.,

Today we know that the Earth and all the other planets rotate around the sun , which is in the center of our solar system. ,
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT STARS TODAY?: we know that there are approximately 400 billion stars. They have "life" divided in precise moments in which the stars change not only their aspect but also their inside part.,

The Moon was believed to be a planet. ,
