We learn that despite having opposing arguments, both the Halakha of the House of Shammai and the House of Hillel possess divine attributes, as they are both the words of God and are therefore true. However, the Halakha of the House of Hillel becomes integrated into the Jewish legal system for all Jews to follow, as a result of the House of Hillel displaying humility towards the House of Shammai, and recognizing that their argument can potentially be wrong. Accordingly, when determining Halacha, we must recognize the divine relationship between one’s textual ideas and god's heavenly presence, as God concludes which of the ideas will be determined as Halakha. As humans, when faced with ideas that one disagrees with, we must demonstrate genuine humility and respect towards the other’s idea, as all ideas are the divine word of god.
