In relation to the parable, the Jewish people should take the written Torah and build off of it, develop it, and apply it to our daily lives. By just following the written torah, it does not fulfill Gods wants, we also need to interpret it in our own way, just as the smart servant did with the items given to him. The Jewish people must elaborate and further develop the Torah.
