A group of rabbis were debating whether or not an oven should be considered kosher based off the conditions it was in, and all but one rabbi said it was unkosher, while Rabbi Eliezer argued that it should be considered kosher. But then, Rabbi Eliezer used God, who was on his side, and many miracles to support his argument, but the Rabbis still disagreed with him and decided to excommunicate him since he brought God into the argument and went against the majority, since that's not how the system works.
