How to Survive A Severe Thunderstorm on a Sail Boat
Severe Thunderstorm
The type of Severe Thunderstorm that I'm talking about is the one's that could possibly form a tornado.
Tornado's naturally form in these things called Super cells and/or Severe Thunderstorms as another name for it. In super cells, they can create hail, severe winds, severe rains, and severe tornadoes.
My Scenario
20 people (Whom none of them you know) are trapped on a sailboat traveling across the Mississippi River. With the large travel a storm hits! The storm is like none you have ever seen! It will be going of for 2 weeks! With some equipment to spare, the 20 people are in your hands, try to keep them alive! This is a very similar scenario to one The Slave Dancer by Paula Fox. The main character Jessie and some Crew members are traveling aboard a boat going to “Whydaho in the Bight of Benin”(Fox 21)! They will need to go through the same thing as the real life 20 people will. Good luck!
Human Survival
3-4 Days without water, 3 week's without food. They need shelter, safety, sleep, etc. (Normal things that humans need to survive.)
About 6.7 oz of water per person, per 3 days. About 0.05 oz of canned food per person, per week.
Setting
" 'We're sailing to Whydaho in the Bright of Benin.' "(Fox21). Or Africa, They are going on a sail boat with many other Crew Members across the Mississippi River.
Character Traits
Jessie (Main Character)
Jessie is mainly confused about of the
type of people he was kidnapped by pirates.
Claudius (one of Jessie's Kidnappers)
Claudius is one of the kidnappers who kidnapped Jessie. Because of this, he come's/still is coming off as mysterious while wearing a full black leotard(Fox14)-(Fox19)
Purvius (one of Jessie's kidnappers)
Purvius is another one of Jessie's kidnappers and he also turns out mysterious because of this fact(Fox14)-(Fox19)

My Plan
5th Part
You are into your second week. Someone forgot to bring a piece of debree, so while 10 people were fishing the winds sped up and the object slammed into on of there sides. They have fainted. What you need to do is use the AX as an alternative for a medication kit. Hopefully you were able to make a fire in this time. What you do is heat up the AX and put it on the injured area. It will hurt but it will burn any cuts shut.
6th Part
Be prepared at any time for lightning to strike the boat, or high winds that flip the boat, or possibly there to all of a sudden be a hole in the boat. To do this, you should add weight to the bottom of the boat to keep it from being flipped and so you could easily get something to swim away from fires or a sinking ship.
4th Part
At this point, you are half way through your 1st week. And it's time to eat! with the canned food everyone will eat 0.05 oz per week UNLESS you are able to catch any fish during your time.
3rd Part
After warmth is found and fish is collected. The next thing to do is find any other spare things that you could use for ANYTHING, protection, hunting, cooking, etc. Once those things are found make sure that you know everyone trapped with you, if you are in a life or death situation with 19 other people. You need to earn a trust bond with people others with you.
2nd Part
The storm has started now. The next thing to do is to separate the 20 people. 10 people are going to try to make a fishing hook and a bucket for fishing (Then Fish). And the other 10 people try to make new ways to hide from the cold winds and water. Remember that you all have water. You all will be able to drink about 6.7 oz per day in your water bottle. If you all run out then resort to the river water as in alltrnet source. It will be gross but worth it to survive.
9th Part
At this point you have done everything the same as the previous week. But the storm is worsening. What you and the others should do is try you're best to sail out of the storm. You are already close to the end anyway.
1st part
The First thing to do in this scenario is try to get everything that could possibly fly away and hit someone or something inside. Severe Thunderstorms CAN and MIGHT form tornadoes, in tornadoes they fling around deb-re lying around, if there is none, then it won't fling anything.
Final Part
The Storm has passed! You all are Saved!
