Irregular verbs- simple past tense
Past Tense is used in Regular and Irregular Verbs but only for Affirmative Sentences, for example: he went
Prepositions of place (at, in, on, etc.)
At: en, con, a.
To: a, para, por.
From: de, desde
On: en, encima
Off: frente a
Of: de
In: entre
Into: dentro de
Under: bajo
Behind: detrás.
Next to: junto a
Between: entre
Near: cerca
Reading and discussion: My favorite places
After the Morgans landed in New York, they went to Immigration. They showed the Immigration Officer their passports, and he asked them a few questions (“How long were you out of the country?” “Where did you stay?” Where did you stay?” etc.)
They answered the Immigration Officer’s questions and then went to the baggage area. They got their bags and took them to Customs.

Regular verbs- Single past tense (Part A)
Most verbs in English are regulars that form the Past Tense adding the suffix –ed to the
Present: he worked. However, this ending is only added to affirmative sentences.
Reading and discussion: Your work
Mr. Morgan always works hard. He worked hard when he
was in Paris, too. But he didn’t work in the evening-he only worked during the day. He was free in the evening. After
work he liked to relax. He often walked slowly back to his
hotel and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the city.
Fashion
Regular verbs-simple past tense (Part B)
“Did” is used for negative sentences and questions as well for short answers as the only sign of past tense.

Did Mrs. Morgan work in Paris? No, she did not. What did she
do? She walked around the city, visited museums and looked at
the beautiful things in the shop windows. She learned a lot about
Paris. Did she learn any French in Paris? Of course she did!
Throughout, the years many fashions had passed. Some ones
we kept up to date becoming tendencies. Between fashions
unforgettable exists the big skirt in 1960s with
tropical colors like red, orange and yellow.Excesses were the clue word for 70's fashion.
Holidays
Irregular verbs- single past tense (Part B)
The verb form does not change for any person as the Present Simple Tense in Past Tense.
Reading and discussion: Holidays
On Thursday morning Mrs. Morgan went on a sightseeing tour. The bus left from in front of the hotel. The tour began at ten o’clock and lasted a long time – about two and a half hours.
Mrs. Morgan enjoyed the tour very much and took a lot of
pictures. When she got back to the hotel, Mrs. Morgan went upto her room for a little while and wrote a postcard to her children.
