Give clear, consistent, and predictable consequences
Take away privileges such as instruments during songs; have him sit to the side when he disrupts class; send to principal's office if behavior continues.
More structured routine
Give an assigned seat in own space; a daily planner to track progress; modify assignments and allow for other ways to complete them; give talk tickets; call on Nathan frequently

Use a calm, neutral tone
Talk to student outside of class; engage student whenever I can bring in his comments about playing the drums; utilize reflective listening so he feels heard; model appropriate language; reassurance; redirection
Tier 2 Intervention
