Clinical
Manifestations

If not treated: diaphoresis, tachycardia, and widened pulse pressure along with hypoxemia and central cyanosis.

Diagnostics
CBC, ABGs, chest x-rays, chest CT, MRI, PFTs, peak flow monitoring.
Assessment
comorbid conditions: GERD, drug-induced asthma, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis
Eczema, rashes, temporary edema
Family Hx, environment, occupation-related factors

Definition: chronic inflammatory disease of airways; causes hyperresponsiveness, mucosal edema & production.
Nursing Dx 1: Ineffective airway clearance RT increased production of mucus AEB crackles at bilateral lower lobes
Nursing Dx 2: Impaired gas exchange RT altered delivery of inspired O2 AEB difficulty breathing & O2 stats of 89% room air
