Economy
The west was known for their plantation agriculture skills
They build roads and waterways that connected to all their agricultural things
Settlers
They claimed land traditionally used by American Indians.
The Indians were hunters, and they struggled to keep control of their hunting lands.
Pioneer settlers were sometimes pulled west because they wanted to make a better living
White Americans expanded their settlements in the western part of the country.
Population
The West also believed in slavery, there population wasn't that big, half of them were slaves
They used slaves to get what they wanted. For example. they worked on factories of plantation

North
Population

To be honest, for me, it actually felt like there was three separate sections because the North, South, and West were so different from each other. They had different population, a different way of living and most importantly they all thought differently, they all had there perspective of the world and its rules.
