Innovation
What innovation was created during ww1?
How did it change the war for the worse or the better?
Has this innovation been improved upon or has it been forgotten?
Does it effect us today with the same significance as it once may have?
Artillery was once a cannon powered by gunpowder, now this innovation has involved into some different things such as mortars which are able to be carried by one person, cannons on boats, planes and tanks.
Although it's not in much use if it sadly did have to be used it would have a much bigger impact to the opposing side and the people getting hit by these shells than it once did in WW1.
It lead to massive destruction on all sides of the war and the unexpected deaths of many and there was no way to defend yourself from incoming artillery fire so it left all of the soldiers wishing for good luck.

The conditions for the soldiers during the war were shocking, in the trenches there was mice everywhere feeding on the rotting bodies of fallen soldiers. The mice also passed diseases around which gave the soldiers muscle pains and fevers. The constant exposure to cold and moisture gave the soldiers something called trench foot which actually was their feet rotting. All of this disease and infection led to a lot of soldiers dying before they even got to battle and this includes on the way to the warzones or on the boats.
