Wound therapy
Negative pressure wound therapy:A vacuum source that creates continuous or intermittent negative pressure inside the wound to remove fluid, exudates and infectious material to prepare for wound healing.
Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy- delivery of oxygen at increased atmospheric pressures. Elevated o2 levels stimulate angiogenesis which kills anaerobic bacteria, increases the killing power of WBCs and certain antibiotics. Accelerates granulation tissue formation and wound healing
Nutritional therapy: high fluid intake needed to replace exudate formation.A diet high in carbs, protein, vitamins and moderate fat it necessary to promote wound healing and prevent infection.
