unexpected
with the appeasement they established, they thought that Germany would be happy and not in need of a war.
however, Germany just wanted to get more land and money to be stronger for a war.

the treaty took a lot from Germany and made them accept responsibility for the war. this made the Germans more likely to want revenge.
-
hitler had an argument against the treaty that he felt under threat, and then armed his country fully
Britain agreed with this
france didn't and that put them in a disagreement, meaning if a war was to happen the countries would not be as close
-
the treaty really had no power over what Germany could do, and all the members of the treaty were weak and tired from WW1, and were not ready to have a war.
this meant that Hitler could make a move and try and become more powerful in preparation for the war.
