Pharmacist
To become a pharmacist you are required to have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, which is a postgraduate professional degree.
Once you have graduated from the Pharm.D. program, you may need to complete a 1-2 year residency if you plan to be in an advanced position (clinical pharmacy or apart of a research job).
During the completion process of the Pharm.D. program, you may want to take on an internship because it will help you get your feet wet and make you stand out when applying for a job.
When you go to apply for a job, you could look at any of your local pharmacies and drug stores, as well as any hospitals near where you live.
If you land a job, you are looking to make around $87,420 during your beginning years with the company.
Once you have landed a job, your everyday work life will consist of dispensing prescription medications to patients and offering your expertise in the safe use of prescriptions.
