Connective Tissues are the most diverse tissues of the body. Bone, blood, and fat are familiar connective tissues that have very different functions and properties.

Transportation of minerals :: fluid connective tissues provide an efficient means of moving dissolved materials from one region of the body to another.
Storage of energy reserves :: fats are stored in connective tissue cells called adipose cells until needed.
