Commenting on two graphs
Shape- is the spread of the data evenly distributed, symmetrical- skewed left or right?
DON'T FORGET- check the scale of the graphs as the increments can often be different and can be e.g further up the scale than the other graph
Centre- where is the centre of the distribution, give examples from graphs given, mean is not at centre (to left or right)
Symmetry- whether the bell is symmetrical or not, could be skewed to one side
Spread- how spread out the SD is, if the curve is skewed to the right the SD is greater on the right, the higher up the curve the lower the SD is going to be
Example- the distribution of the weights on Ali's farm is symmetrical, where as Bill's farm is skewed to the right. The spread of Ali's farm is even where as Bill's farm has a higher standard deviation, particularly on the right hand side. Bill's farm also had a mean which is not centrally located. Overall, Ali's farm is normally distributed where as Bill's is not.

Probability trees
Reversing a probability tree- e.g. If an apple is sold at a local supermarket, what is the probability that it will have been from the first harvest?
Finding a total- e.g. There are 120 apples in an export carton. If 172 export cartons are produced, how many apples were there in the total crop?
