Private Tutoring
Parents often approach native teachers for private tutoring because their public school or academy isn't enough. However, many teachers, myself included find that the student many methods in differentiated instruction help greatly.
This does not mean that the student has been diagnosed with any disability, just that a one-on-one approach withgames and other activities works better than group (15-20 students) lecture approach

REFERRAL TO PROFESSIONAL
As early as preschool/kindergarten, teachers will recommend that a student seek special education privately.
this is the case for many bilingual students in Korea as the language is a bit delayed compared to monolingual children.
It was recommend that my own son seek special education assistance to speed up his Korean. A doctor diagnosed him with being about 6 months behind other Korean children and granted him assistance to seek a speech therapist.
