Tune in: The teacher will gather children in a circle to ask them what they know about roots (can be about the functions or types)
Main Activity: children will get into groups . each group will have a basket which consists of different parts of a plant (e.g. flowers, stem). There will also be pictures of different types of roots .From there, children will have to sort the items into either the roots, not roots or "maybe" category . afterwards, everyone will gather back in front of the teacher to discuss what they have done.
