        people who have always had cars/phones are completely dependent on them and they don't know any other way
        
        for some reason many young people are choosing not to be reliant on cars and not getting licenses
        
        STATISTICS!
        
        if we are slowly realizing that we should be less dependent on cars, a thing that seems so necessary for most people right now, then is it possible that we will eventually become less dependent on phones as well?
        
        or should communication tech and transportation not be compared in that way?

        restaurants frequently go out of business because of high rent prices
        
        many of the storefront areas are being occupied by offices for rel-estate companies and other things
        
        some store fronts are bellow street/sidewalk level so they are hard to see
        
        lots of stores are raised up with stairs to get to them and have fenced off outdoor seating at restaurants. It cuts people off from these places
        
        always building new buildings that are supposed to be for stores and businesses and apartments
        
        none of them have any relation to each other
        
        Placed near the monon, but there still isn't really anywhere to go

        lots of new beautiful condos all over the center of carmel
        
        nobody uses their front door because they have built in garages on the back
        
        they were built in places that are a little far from things to do so nobody really walks places
        
        Apartments
        
        sophie's square has balconies as outdoor spaces, but they are facing their neighbors and a public courtyard so they don't actually have any privacy
        
        Very large buildings

        Big and expensive houses taking up a lot of land area
        
        Nowhere to walk to, literally nowhere

        very close to downtown
        
        I have never seen anyone walk downtown from our neighborhood but me
        
        fronts of the houses are facing the inside of 2 loops
        
        large parking lots and carports in the middle
        
        Pool and pool house that are rarely used
        
        nobody goes anywhere unless there is an event
        
        money is spent on making things look pretty, not be functional
        
        bike paths are everywhere, but they are in very open areas and next to large roads so they feel unsafe and nobody uses them
