      - Anterior Segment (divided into 2 parts) & filled with Aqueous humor.
        
        1) Anterior chamber-from the cornea to the iris
        
        2) Posterior chamber-from iris to the lens
    - - Cornea-->lens-->retina-->optic nerve-->optic chiasm-->optic tract-->midbrain-->thalamus-->primary visual cortex
  - - - Olfactory bulb-->olfactory tract-->limbic region (emotional brain) and the -->primary olfactory cortex in the temporal lobe.
  - - - Facial nerve (7)-from the anterior part of the tongue
      - glossopharyngeal (9)-takes from the posterior part of the tongue.
      - Vagus nerve
    - - taste buds-->3 cranial nerves-->medulla oblongata-->thalamus-->primary gustatory cortex.
  - - - Auricle-gathers sound waves and amplifies them
    - - Tympanic membrane (ear drum) vibrates and transmits vibrations to the middle ear
      - Auditory ossicles- transmits vibrations to the cochlea (fluid filled) then to the cochlear nerve and the vestibular nerve, which makes the vestibulocochlear nerve (8) which reaches equilibrium.

      - Ependymal cells: simple cuboidal/columnar epithelium, contains cilia, has microvilli, is located in the ventricles, cilia is used to keep the cerebral fluid circulated and moving.
    - - Satellite cells: surround neuron cell bodies in the ganglia, is supportive, and helps regulate what goes in and out of the neuron cell bodies.
      - Myelination: Myelin acts as an insulator and makes signals travel more quickly, is also a covering of lipid as well as some protein around some of the axons.
      - Oligodendrocytes create myelin sheath, and they wrap around axons.
      - Schwann cells: only wrap around one piece of one axon, but can wrap a hundred times around that one axon.
