Churches: the basilical plan of three naves and semicircular apse, as well as the centralized plant with dome cover for the baptisteries.
The Visigothic architecture in Spain included the peculiar use of the horseshoe arch, with churches of different heights, and some use of the Latin cross plan.
Germanic art: from the extension of monasteries. It was characteristic the joint use of stone and wood, with pitched stone roofs flanked by cylindrical towers, similar to old funerary monuments.
The military architecture consisted of fences made of wood and clay, with circular walls and moats, and later, medieval towers, spikes and castles evolved.
