Currently known as the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (Act 2001)

REGISTRATION
(Section 13(2)) Any employer who is not registering with HRDF may be:
Both (Fined & Imprisonment)
Imprisonment up to 1 year
Fined up to RM10,000
According to the First Schedule of PSMB Act 2001, Amendment 1 April 2017, definitions of industries covered are as follows
Service sector
10 employees
Except for hypermarkets, Supermarkets and departmental stores, 50 employees
Manufacturing Sector
and
Mining & Quarrying Sector
Paid-up Capital of RM 2.5 million above(1%).
Paid-up Capital less than RM2.5 million given option (0.5%)
50 employees
Every employer who is covered under the PSMB Act 2001
5-9 Malaysian Workers (Given option to register/not)
Levy = 0.5% x Worker wages
≥10 Malaysian workers (Mandatory)
Levy = 1% x Worker wages
