someone is encouraging kendrick to drink. his family members.his whole family has a drinking problem. so drinking is a normal thing for him.

chris talks about being in love and dont know how to express his feelings towards the female.
chris is comparing the alchol to a girl that he cant leave. this is an extended metaphor for addiction.
chris uses his love that he felt like he should have had and describes it the different types of characteristics that different liquors have. as smooth...brandy - those specific types of liquor have different taste and

the theme in the three songs is about how they have a depnedency on something that is doing more harm than good. they release it towards the end of each song.
for each one of the peoole who wrote the song, something led them to the point of abusing substances, whether it be a bad relationship or bad upbringing.
all three songs use the word "love" and shows their relationship with what they are using to cope with their emotions
all three songs replace what they think they need most with a substance
