BCSS 2019 - PURPOSE AND GOALS
PURPOSE
Help students in becoming leaders
Create a friendly, welcoming & inclusive community
Connect students to employers
Create a network of like-minded people
Bring students together, offer them extensive opportunities & the best university experience possible
PROFESSIONAL
For 2nd or 3rd year students run a competition that involves using current business knowledge and skills to work as a team to achieve a goal. (

) Ensure the benefits of competition are clear e.g Fast-tracked application or How good it looks to employers
Conduct regular interviews with final year or recent graduates about themselves, why they are studying, what they want to do in the future, etc, etc --> Interviews could be posted on facebook page to provide personal insights into industries and other experiences. WITH MARKETING TEAM
Liaise with Monash Business School OR Host events that build essential professional skills e.g 'how to interview well', 'Building a resume', 'discussions with professionals', 'service line information'

Sponsorship brochure about top firms in industries and the services they provide/programs (digital and physical)
Create a networking circle for professional members to become familiar with (BCSS professional Network FB page - didnt really take off in 2018)
Regular posts about upcoming professional opportunities for students WITH MARKETING TEAM
Expand professional diversity from both a sponsor and student perspective
Heavy contact with Professional Team over Summer to be better prepared for 2019 S1
Create a more holistic professional experience, catering to all year levels and areas of professional interest
"Your Professional Journey" creative document about timeline from being a 1st year student to the 1st year in a job

MARKETING
Better communication b/w marketing and the other streams
More Competitions (both internal and external)
SOCIAL
Introduce camp olympics/ inter-family games
Re-introduce 'Sponeasy' - J. Slevison's secret to a great year of social sponsorship
More sober events during the year/acitivites on camp
GENERAL
Appeal to wider range of potential members such as Post Grad and more international students/ broader spectrum of diversity within members
Introduce review/feedback forms or a suggestion box for committee to improve internal conditions
Build relationships with other societies (reinforce a sense of community at caulfield campus)
Show that we are a society that cares about our community and organise various fundraising events - also helps build positive public relations with BCSS brand, hence more likely to acquire sponsors
Take up new opportunities/try to expand BCSS from 2018 (create new events/innovate old ones)

Ensure gen reps/officers feel involved & exec isnt carrying the load
BCSS POLO'S WOULD BE SO COOL (Paid for by sponsors like Willy Ps)
Improved teamwork & more direction!
Make the most of
MONSU's $300 innovation on the green
(twice weekly) in order to further promote BCSS and make connections with students.

Increase our service to students by incorporating Peninsula Business students into our member base
Establish BCSS Caulfield as the "Parent Company" of BCSS subsidiaries
Work with Monash Business School and MONSU Peninsula to create, support and direct BCSS Peninsula.
Develop an organisational structure for BCSS
