Achievable
Appropriate and realistic to achieve to maintain motivation. Too easy goals can be demotivating. Goals negotiated with a coach give more ownership over an achievement and are most realistic.
Time phased
Goals should be broken down in to short term goals that help to achieve and long term goal. This ensures goals remain realistic and achievable and also helps to control levels of arousal and anxiety
