Main parts of a Catholic church
Catholics believe that Christ is present in 4 ways at the Eucharist
Paschal sacrifice: the term refers to the last supper, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus
The Lectern
There are at least 2 readings, one from Old Testament and one from New Testament.

- in the consecrated bread (Hosts) and wine
- in the word proclaimed in the readings from the bible
- in the priest working through him, especially at the consecration
- in the worshipers together as the body of Christ (the church)
The Altar
Place of sacrifice
During the consecration, this offering is joined to Christs offering of himself to the father through his death on Calvary
Every mass is absorbed into the Great Paschal sacrifice: the last supper, death and Resurrection of Jesus.
Christ is really present on the altar, offering himself to the father on behalf of the father
