- - - - Monostotic Fibrous Dysplasia
        
        Involvement of a single bone; May be in other bones in the body (Including the ribs, femur, and tibia); Most common type of Fibrous Dysplasia -> 85% of cases; Maxilla more frequently involved than the mandible; Most common in children and young adults; No sex predilection; Could lead to movement of teeth
      - Polyostotic Fibrous Dysplasia
        
        Involves more than one bone; Can extend into sinuses; Enlargement of effected bones, will be unilateral in maxilla and mandible; Occurs in children, mainly females; Several forms of Polyostotic Fibrous Dysplasia exist:
        
        CRANIOFACIAL: Involves the maxilla w/ extension into the sinuses and adjacent zygoma, sphenoid, and occipital bones.
        JAFFE-LICHTENSTEIN TYPE: Involves multiple bones along w/ associated cafe au last macule on the skin.
        MCCUNE-ALBRIGHT SYNDROME: Most severe type
