Janie was in a marriage with a older man that made her work all the time and made her not feel like a woman or lady. he was very mean and didnt care about her feelings
she never liked logan andshe didnt want to be with becausehe was ugly and old.

End, Before Joe sarks died and later in his marriage with janie. he would beat her and keep beating her untill she did right. so at the end of their marriage he had all power over her and she had no voice he was controlling her now. She couldnt do anything about it because when she tried to fight back he would hit her and beat her. When he died janie was so over him and didnt like him ven tho she felt sad about his death she was realived that she was free and alone.
Start, At first when she met joe starks he was nice guy and made her laugh. she liked him bcause he represented a new begining and new start. Also he treated her very well made her feel lady like. He also loved her and gave her anything that she wanted. He looked better and was very romatic with her. At this point in the relationship Janie really like joe and she loved the new Begining. she was happy with Joe starks .

overall their realationship was very toxic and bad for janie she lost her power and love in this mariage. yes he did treat her well in the beginning but then he started settling in and getting jealous and he would beat her because other guys would hit on her. Joe wasnt a good guy for this he was good leader but not a good guy. Janie thought he was going to be the one who would be her horzion and pear tree but instead he took her power and her voice. which made her scared and terfied when he beat her. Also there was no where for janie to go if she left him that was another reason why she couldnt leave. Also in addtion to getting beat he stop caring for her he stopped talking rhymes to her. Poor janie didnt know what she was getting herself into.
