E.g. our dog's schema (packets of info about a dog) = four legs, barks, tail, fur.
Schemas usually based on past experience also further interactions with people and the world around us. Schemas take dif forms such as schemas for events or roles
Example
Event schema = scripts for event such as a birthday party (what it is like) and role schema which tells us about dif roles (e.g. how a nurse should act. Mom. Dad etc.
