Odyssey (Book 5-8)-Chase
Book 6
Plot: Athena wants Odysseus to meet her father, King Alcinous, so she first has him meet Nausicaa . She lures Nausicaa to the island where Odysseus is. When they get there, Odysseus is almost naked. Odysseus aks her for help and she agrees.

New Characters:

Plot: Athena asks her father for some help and in return, Athena must continue to help Telemachus. Zeus sends Hermes to help her. Hermes goes to the island of Ogygia and asks Calypso to let Odysseus return home. Odysseus is sad and wants to return home. Calypso allows Odysseus to leave and helps him build a boat. Poseidon creates a storm causing Odysseus to become stranded at sea. He asks Poseidon to stop what he is doing, but he doesn't. Luckily, Athena and Aseenif help him get to a new island called Scheria. Although he is stranded there, he is not dead.
Book 8

Plot: King Alcinous gets a crew to build Oddyseus a ship for his journey back home. Alcinous hosta a big feast in honor of Oddyseus. During the feast, Demoticus plays a song about Odysseus and Agamemnon's battle in the trojan war. Oddyseus starts to cry and Alcinous doesn't know why. He decided to distract the guest by having a competition. At first, Oddyseus says no to the compertition, but when they make fun of him, he agrees and joins in. Oddyseus beats everyone in the competition and is given gifts. Demoticus plays annother song and Odysseus revelas himself.
Book 7
Characters:

Nausithous- son of poseidon, father of Alcinous
Periboea- daughter of Eurymedon, mother of poseidon
Plot:
Odysseus asks for Athena's help and she cloaks him in mist which enables him to meet Nausicaa's mother, queen Arete. He sneaks into the palace and begs Arete for help. Alcinous agrees, without knowing his identity, but Arete is more suspicous. Odysseus tells them about how he met Nausicaa and Alcinous wants him to marry Nausicaa, Odysseus declines and Alcinous builds him a ship for his journey back.
