Their first album is the fastest selling debut album by a band in the UK charts, it was also ranked 'Rolling Stones' 30th greatest debut album.

Alex Turner recent has taken control of what the direction the bands music will go in
He is the lead singer of another band 'The Last Shadow Puppets'. A lot off people have said the music style of 'The Last Shadow Puppets ' has heavily influenced the style of 'Arctic Monkeys'
The other main member of the band is the drummer Matt Helders.
He has been involved in in Arctic Monkeys since the start and is commonly known as joint frontman along with Alex Turner
He has been involved in other band like The Last Shadow Puppets, he has worked with Iggy Pop, Josh Homme, Lady Gaga, Alex Turner, Mongrel, and Diddy.
The other band members are Andy Nicholson who was an original member of the band but left in 2006 and was replaced by Nick O'Malley who is still a current member of the band. The final member of the band is Jamie Cook, who has been apart of the band since the start.
