Types of listening
Discriminative Listening: Developped at a early age, you can distinguish between different voice or the sex of the voice or how old the voice is but you can't actually understand what they are saying. EX: being at a foreign airport.
Comprehensive Listening: involves understanding the message from the sender, but two people hearing the same message can interpret it 2 different ways based on past experiences.
Active listening
Active listening is hard to master as it uses all senses, it involves fully focusing on the message from the sender. You have to also show that you are listening my using non verbal forms of communication and also keeping and open minded and withdrawing from judgement
