CELL DIVISION
Mitosis
Prophase: Nuclear membrane disappears
Metaphase: Chromosomes line up at the middle
Anaphase: Chromosomes go to the poles
Telophase: Nuclear membrane regenerates
Meiosis
Meiosis I
Prophase: Homologues line up side by side/crossing over occurs
Metaphase: Independent assortoment happens
Anaphase: Each homologue go to differnet poles
Telophase: At the end pf this stage we have 2 different cells
Meiosis II
Prophase: Same as Meiosis I
Metaphase: Alligment occrus again in the two cells that resulted from Meiosis I
Anaphase: Same as Meiosis I but with the cells from Meiosis I
Telophase: 4 cells are the result
If things are not going well...
Apoptosis is cell suicide
Necrosis is cell homocide
