Compact and Spongy bone
Compact bone covers all bones in the body and is very strong with a little flexibility from the collagen within the osteons. Covered in a superficial layer of periosteum which is osteogenic and made up of D.I.C.T.
Spongy bone is made up of osteocytes and extracellular matrix. Instead of osteons it is made up of trabeculae which gives it the spongy appearance. This is the main location for red bone marrow and thus the site of blood cell formation. Is found within the compact bone and covered in a superficial layer of endosteum which is responsible for both bone cell formation and destruction.

Bone marrow
Red bone marrow is located in all bones as very young humans, but as we age it will only be found in the axial skeleton, the coxal bones, and the proximal epiphyses of the humeri and the femurs
Yellow bone marrow is found in the medullary cavity of long bones and is made up of adipose connective tissue. Because of this it is used as energy and nutrient storage.

Skeletal Muscle
Connective tissue layers
Endomysium
Made of reticular fibers, loose connective tissue. Found within the muscle fascicle
Perimysium
Dense irregular connective tissue, surrounds the muscle fascicle
