Choose a product example and make a selection of at least 6 designs that
fall into each of the following time periods.
• 1930–1950 • 1970–1990
• 1950–1970 • 1990–2012
For example: Pick a wall clock, now look for at least 6 designs which fall
during each of the time periods. By comparing these selections, and using
images as examples to back up your analysis, write an essay discussing
how the sets of examples differ, and how the form of these products relates
to design activities of the corresponding periods.
