Cat bite (saliva)
Infection of B -ells, CD4 T-cells and macrophages

3 Phases of infection
- Acute
Lymphoid replication, viraemia 8 -12 weeks, transient illness 3 -6 months
- Subclinical (asymptomatic)
years or even for life, rebound CD8 to skew ratio as CD4 do not rebound
- Terminal
Opportunistic infections, neoplastic disease, myelosuppression, neurologic disease
