When Thomas doubts Jesus' resurrection, Jesus reassures Thomas through his powerful words "Peace be with you" - John 20:21, praying that Thomas would be blessed with a sense of tranquility and not fear but believe. In today's Orthodox Churches, priests ask the community to "Give each other a blessing of peace" where they turned around saying "Peace by with you."

In the Catholic community, one of the more well known statements was the 1963 statement of Pope John XXIII "Pacem in Terris" (Peace on the Earth).
Additionally, organisations such as the World Council of Churches and individual denominations such as the Society of Friends (Quakers) have also realised material on peace
Some have even published more comprehensive statements on the need for peace and the means of achieving it.
In Australia, the NCCA is most known for their peace between Churches which also extends to the wider community.
Church leaders and people in religious authority have frequently made statements in support of peace

Christians show love to other people in order to be a depiction and representation of Jesus within the world "Love thy enemy" (mathew 5) "blessed are the peacemakers" (Matthew 5)

Follow the 613 Mitzvot
Faithfully observing Halacha - the collective body of Jewish religious laws derived from the Written and Oral Torah.
Key idea in Halacha is that society should be ordered according to the ways of peace. "Be holy for I the lord am Holy." (Lev 19:2)
By following the laws and rituals Jews bring about righteousness and love as well as refraining from sinful behaviour in order to obtain peace with themselves and their society.

Rituals
Amidah - daily prayer recited at the synagogue service addressing God as the one who makes peace in the heavens and brings peace to humans.
Yom Kippor - day of atonement: Atones for their disobedience with God and allows them to be more at peace by surrendering themselves to the holiness of God.
Sabbath: Observed from Friday sunset to Saturday Sunset. Retaining from works allows people to contemplate with God and not have their peace disturbed by worldly troubles. WEEKLY

Outwards signs of beliefs through good deeds. This is refered to as Gemilut Chasidim - acts of loving kindness
