Definition: A coast is the meeting point of land, sea and atmosphere and all three of them affect the nature of the coastline
What are the 4 types of coastal erosion?
Hydraulic action
When the sheer power of the water has the ability to dislodge rock particles.
Attrition
The pebbles in the river smash into each other becoming smaller and rounder.
Abrasion
The river scrapes its pebbles along the bed and bank, wearing it away.
Corrosion/Solution
The river water dissolves the bed and bank.
First of all, We have been looking about coasts which was the very first topic of year 8.
