        The art of turning the soul towards some purpose
        
        Leadership was the bridge between the personal, interpersonal and cosmological (visionary) levels.
        
        Inspire in others a devotion toward that purpose that enables people to overcome any odd, face any danger, to achieve it (goals)
        
        Vision is a mental creation, and idea of the end-state
        
        Vision serves as the guiding light that directs the actions of leaders, subordinates, and organizations. A successful vision "turns the soul". To do so it must express a meaningful link between the individual, the organization, and the idea that inspires a spirit of devotion and duty.
      - Character
        
        Highly indicative of good leadership when people obey someone without coercion and are prepared to remain by him during times of danger
        
        In essence, the ability of persuade other to risk their lives voluntarily rests implicitly in the trust they have in the leader's character and ability to win
        
        Once a leader uses coercion rather than persuasion, he or she is no longer leading
        
        Develop the concepts of arete and vision they believed were so central to the idea of leadership. Indeed, it was only a person with arete and vision who could begin to inspire in others the willingness to follow voluntarily
        
        Aristotle believed arete was the most effective form of persuasion. "Moral value was essential in winning the trust, confidence, and conviction of others.
        
        Character as a result has a magnetic effect, people are naturally drawn to those who have cultivated good character
