Friends (Kianna, Tianna, Sydney) : I have many friends working in various different places that could help me get a job. For example let me know when their companies are hiring or put in a good for me.
My manager (Gabe Osborn): She could write me a good recommendation letter to get an even better job. Let me know of any opportunities in the tourism/winery industry.
VP Medicine at KGH (Mike Ertel): He is a friend of my dads, and could let me job shadow or give me a tour of the hospital to see if I'd like it. I've always had an interest in medicine so he could be of help.
Hockey Coach (Dwight): He could help me get a scholarship and talk to other coaches and people in the hockey community that could help me out.
My friends parents (Maria + Michael): They are both doctors, and have many connections in the medical field that could help me later on if I become a doctor. Or I could possibly intern or something during the summer to see if I like it.
Sports concussion researcher: This has always been super interesting to me as I've experienced a concussion myself as well as seen many teammates go through them too. I would love to learn more about how jobs like this are working to help concussed athletes and their recovery. I'd also like to know how to get into this field.
My "Aunt" Leanna (super close family friend) works in the kinesiology field and I could talk to her and other people she knows to see if there's any opportunities available.
Mr. Bernhardsson: Athletic director at KSS
and is pretty well known within the sports community. He could possibly get me a job helping coach and is also very knowledgeable about sports rehab/injury recovery.
Naturopath (Dr. Volk): I've always
been interested in health, so the natural side of it could be for me. She could help tell me about what the job entails and what courses are necessary.
Brother (Brett): He is at University of Waterloo right now, studying to be a software engineer. He has many contacts within the technology industry that I could talk to.
My former teacher (Mme. Gagne): She is very involved with the community, and has already helped me get some volunteer opportunities. She could also give me a good recommendation.
Chiropractor (Dr. Jenkins): He could give me more information on the job to see if it interests me or not., as well as tell me about the steps to take with schooling.
Parents (Dayna + Rob): They know many people throughout many industries that I could get in contact with to help me get a job. For example my dad has many friends in the medical field, which is what I'm interested in.
Counsellor (Mrs. Corrado): They've helped many people figure out what career field to pursue, and schooling. I'm sure they've built many connections over the years that could help. Businesses might also notify them about part-time job/volunteer opportunities.
Dr. Brad Monteleone: He is a sports medicine doctor, and that is what I would like to be. I could possibly do a job shadow to see if it's a good fit or not. It's a good connection to build because it could result in a job in the future,
