Physical Development of a Child occurs rapidly from birth up to two (2) years of life. it involves physical development in the body which involves changes in the bone thickness, size, weight, gross motor, fine motor, vision, hearing, and perceptual development.
Infants are born with reflexes that help the infants survive until more complex learning is possible,

Rooting and Sucking reflex- the rooting reflex causes infants to turn their head toward anything that brushes their face.
Babinski reflex- occurs when the sole of the infant's foot is stroked on the outside from the heel to the toe.
Steeping or walking reflex- this steeping motion occurs when an infant is held while the feet are planted on the surface.
