bike sharing
sharable bikes at stations, schools, shops,... You unlock the bike with an app on your phone: as soon as you unlock the bike, the app keeps track of where you are going (GPS) and how long you are using it. The app stops the time as soon as you lock the bike again at one of the 'share points'. You pay at the end of the month based on how long you used the bike.

passive solar building ( location and design maximize solar energy for heating during winter, while reducing its impact during warmer months)
If glass windows are located facing the south, in the winter, they allow the sun’s energy to be absorbed and stored within the building.
The sun travels different routes in different seasons. The winter sun travels a lower route in the sky than the summer sun => summer: she sun travels higher path in the sky => proper roof or window overhang
-
If the thermal mass is located (usually in the floor and walls) where it can absorb the sun’s energy, it will absorb, then slowly release or distribute the stored heat energy through the evening and night.
If the building is properly insulated, it will retain its warmth in the winter, as well as its coolness in the summer.

green roof
ALSO: Stormwater is absorbed into the soil and managed more easily than with a bare roof. Heating and cooling costs are reduced, and the air quality is improved.
