- Become Department Head in Family Studies
- Enrolling in a Sewing Course: My goal is to be a well-rounded Family Studies educator so I can teach Fashion! (Starting in late October 2018) I strongly feel as though some Family Studies courses are "dying" and this is one major way to keep it alive!

OFSHEEA Conference 2017!
As a Board Member and Secretary, I participate in montly teleconferences, record minutes, and assist in the planning of our Annual Fall & Spring Conferences. I am also heavily involved in the participation of our Annual General Meetings and Board of Director Meetings in which I record and prepare the necessary documents for alongside our OFSHEEA president.

One of my main initiatives at the moment is to aid in the facilitation and development of the success of young black students, specifically black males. This is an initiative that has been outlined by Peel Board due to a recent survey that revealed that young black male students feel stigmatized and mistreated within educational institutions. Our goal is therefore to make these students feel included and welcomed in each environment where they learn, making an effort to include curriculum content that reflects their past, present, and future so that they feel as if their voices are heard and that they matter.
