Quotes
"We do that in a lot of different ways: building small groups of believers who study the Bible together, live life together, and we love God and love people."
- Joshua Byrd
When I was a student, I was in Biever and I saw a flyer for a worship circle at the front of the school (at Touchdown Jesus). I went (that was literally the first day of classes––my freshman year in 2011) and I got involved. I never stopped and kept coming back. - Joshua Byrd
"Oh man, too many to count! I learned what it meant to be a Christian, I learned what it meant to make disciples, and we traveled a lot. Every fall, we go to a retreat called Fall Breakaway. It's a powerful weekend of experiencing God in a new way and meeting a lot of folks from Chi Alphas in Louisiana. I've been on mission trips with Chi Alpha: Guatemala, Atlanta, camping, and eating so much. It's literally like we're living life together."
Joshua Byrd
"I joined Chi Alpha my freshman year of college. I knew coming into college that I wanted some kind of Christian group to make friends and learn more about God. We had this event called Burger Bash where I was like, 'Ooh, free food!' I went to check it
out and I kind of heard about what Chi Alpha was." -Arden Lagrone
"Worship? I love worship!" - Arden Lagrone
It's nice to find people that you can worship with on campus. Most of the time, people at Chi Alpha won't judge you for talking about God.
"That kind of interaction is really, really important because often times as Christians you don't really get that with other people. Those one-on-one interactions between leaders and students is really critical because you're really feeling like you're being invested, people really care for you and they care for you in a holistic. They really want to see God working in your life and see you share that life with others. It helped me to see part of what God wanted me to do here at Loyola." - Justin Samuelson .
